Who we are
The BETANOVA app (the "App") is provided by BETANOVA, 16 rue de l'Armée Patton, 54000 Nancy, France ("we", "us"). For any privacy question, write to wishes@betanova.org.
What the App stores
The App lets you save wishes. For each wish you can enter a title, a category, an optional note and a status, and the App records the dates it was created and completed. The App also stores your settings: the interface language and whether you have finished onboarding.
All of this data is stored only on your iPhone, inside the App's own storage. It is protected by standard iOS Data Protection. The App does not add its own encryption.
What we do not collect
We do not collect, receive, sell or share the data you enter in the App. The App has no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. It does not use the advertising identifier and does not ask for access to your location, photos, contacts, camera, microphone or notifications.
The App connects to the internet only when you open this Privacy Policy or the Terms of Use, which open in a browser window inside the App.
Backups
Your iPhone may include the App's data in an iCloud backup or a backup on your computer, if you have backups turned on. This lets you restore your wishes on a new iPhone. These backups are managed by Apple and by you, not by us. You can turn off iCloud Backup for the App in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage > Backups.
Deleting your data
- One wish: open the wish and tap Delete Wish.
- All wishes: Settings in the App > Delete All Data.
- Everything: delete the App from your iPhone. A copy may remain in your backups until they are overwritten or deleted.
Emails to support
If you tap Contact Support, the App prepares an email in your mail app. The draft includes the App version, build number, iOS version and App language, plus anything you write. Nothing is sent unless you send it yourself. We use your message only to answer you and keep support correspondence for up to 24 months after our last reply, then delete it.
Crash reports
If you agreed in iOS to share analytics with app developers, Apple may provide us with anonymous crash reports. This is controlled by Apple and by your iOS settings (Settings > Privacy & Security > Analytics & Improvements), not by the App.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights under the GDPR (European Union), the LGPD (Brazil) or the CCPA (California), including the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your personal data. Because the data you enter in the App stays on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly in the App. For anything else, including support emails we hold, contact us at wishes@betanova.org. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in France this is the CNIL.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the date below.
